1) If elected, what would be your top priority?
Public Servants must be held Accountable. The County Commission has oversight responsibilities for all County operations. Sadly there is more than reasonable suspicion that the current County Recorder tried to help himself to his neighbors property by changing a land deed. All three current Commissioners were negligent in not demanding further investigation of this abuse; the reply was Im not his Boss. This abuse says to all of us that Commissioners dont care about our property rights. If they let it happen to one citizen, they will let it happen to you. We deserve accountability.
2) What are your qualifications for this elected position?
I strongly believe that there are two sides to every issue and it is important to look at all the facts to make well informed decisions. Honesty, integrity and hard work are vital to open government and I am committed to fighting against government waste and abuse. I am the candidate with a better way.
3) Are there any changes in policy or procedure that you would make in this elected office? If so what are they?
A) A County Commissioner is a servant, and shouldnt be paid C.E.O. wages, car allowances, or perks.
B) The current Commission holds its public meetings at 10:00 am. There is no doubt when public meetings are held in the evenings; more citizens have an active voice on issues.
C) Every person has a right to be safe in their homes, neighborhoods, and communities. Law Enforcement must have the tools to reduce overall crime, to emphasize prevention, to aid victims, and to provide safety to its officers. An important component of public safety is the offenders must be punished. Working in Law Enforcement, I know there must be more investment when it comes to locking up child predators. We must invest in adequate support of those who put their lives at risk.
4) With the increased development of unincorporated areas of the county, access for fire protection has become an important issue. Do you think we need building restrictions to address this issue?
I am pro-development; however, development must have the necessary infrastructure and access for law enforcement, fire, and EMS services to ensure the safety of Weber County citizens.

1) If elected, what would be your top priority?
Budget and taxes
2) What are your qualifications for this elected position?
My business skills acquired from running a business the past 20 years along with experience working with government agencies and with the Utah Legislature will enable me to serve the people of Weber County effectively in the office of commissioner.
3) Are there any changes in policy or procedure that you would make in this elected office? If so what are they?
Any new person coming into a new job brings with them experience to improve the area they work. My goal is to review and seek for best practices. Any changes in policy/procedures would come only after careful review and discussion with all parties.
4) With the increased development of unincorporated areas of the county, access for fire protection has become an important issue. Do you think we need building restrictions to address this issue?
The last bond was to build fire stations in Huntsville and western Weber County. Fire protection in unincorporated areas is under the Fire District jurisdiction. Requirements are in place requiring installation of building sprinklers in areas where alternatives are not available. I do not believe that additional building restrictions are necessary.
